National lockdown: stay at home

Coronavirus (COVID‑19) is spreading fast.

Do not leave your home unless necessary.

1 in 3 people who have the virus have no symptoms, so you could be spreading it without knowing it.

If you have any coronavirus symptoms:

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste

Get a test and stay at home.

Visitor Guidelines during COVID-19

Holbrook School for Autism is asking for the support and understanding of our visitors in helping us minimise the risk of COVID-19.

Holbrook School for Autism continues to take guidance from Public Health England. Taking this into account, we are now limiting access to the site to essential visitors only. If you are unsure as to whether your proposed visit is considered essential, please email the school on info@holbrookautism.derbyshire.sch.uk.

If your visit to Holbrook School for Autism is an essential one, we would nevertheless ask that you refrain from visiting if:

  • you have travelled from or transited through any of the countries or areas that are currently on ‘lockdown’ in the past 14 days.
  • you have developed a fever (above 37.8C), a new, continuous cough within the last seven days or have lost sense of taste or smell.
  • anyone in your household is required to self-isolate in accordance with Government guidelines. Along with all members of the Holbrook community, any visitors to the school should wash their hands with soap and water before leaving home and once they arrive at Holbrook. While you are on site we would ask that you wear a mask and sanitise your hands upon arrival using the supplied gel and just before you leave. We hope you will help follow general good hygiene practice to stop the spread of any viruses. This includes covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze, putting used tissues in the bin immediately and washing your hands with soap and water often. If you begin to develop symptoms of COVID-19 whilst at Holbrook School for Autism, please inform your host immediately and follow their advice.  If you develop such symptoms within 48 hours of visiting Holbrook School for Autism, please inform us on 01332 880208 as soon as possible.

For the avoidance of potential embarrassment, we would also like to advise you that the school is currently operating a ‘no handshake’ policy for all members of its community.

As the COVID-19 situation is changing rapidly, if you are due to visit Holbrook School for Autism and are currently not affected by the guidance above, we would ask that you check this guidance again immediately prior to your visit in case our position has changed.

We thank you for your support and understanding.
